My goal is to accrue photographs of all fifty state license plates, as well as those for the various districts and territories under US jurisdiction (where such automobile placards exist; I have a feeling I’ll be waiting a while for Johnson Atoll license plates to be issued). My rules are that the photographs have to be taken within the state shown on the plate, and the vehicle bearing the plate must be stationary (no windshield photographs of plates). I forget to do this all too often, leading to the situation where I’m missing a LOT of states I’ve visited, even recently.
